That is what makes this a great in its own right. Plus with live versions of 80's songs Perfect strangers and Knocking at your back door, that are not found on any other albums, this makes the album worth getting, Deep purple also took some of their 70 classics songs and put a little spin on them here/5(32).

And it's evident on this exceptional live album that Deep Purple is not having fun; but with any great band, a Deep Purple not having fun is still an effective, appealing unit. By "Nobody's Perfect," DP had been reunited for four years, and they were already re-living history (tension, inner squabbling, all the classic symptoms)/5(19).

May 23,  · This lackluster, live double-album unsurprisingly combines a number of Deep Purple classics with choice cuts from the two '80s releases of the re-formed Mark II lineup. In fact, the record's only two eyebrow-raising moments occur during Jon Lord's multi-faceted keyboard solo which introduces "Knocking at Your Back Door," and in the band's studio re-recording of Mark II's big hit, "Hush.".

Oct 17,  · I think this one deserve a revisit, DEEP PURPLE ’80s comeback “Perfect Strangers“, reissued in Japan in remastered form on a High Quality SHM-CD format. “Perfect Strangers” represents the first album recorded by the reformed (as well as the most successful and popular) Deep Purple ‘Mark II’ line-up after eleven years.
